Moscow, RUSSIA: Scientist - Analytical Development

BIND Biosciences, co-founded by Dr. Robert Langer of MIT and Dr. Omid Farokhzad of Harvard Medical School, is a biopharmaceutical company leveraging its proprietary Medicinal Nanoengineering™ platform to design, engineer and manufacture highly precise best-in-class targeted therapeutics for treating serious diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular and inflammatory diseases. We seek a motivated and team-oriented individual who will assume a leadership role in our Analytical Development group. This Scientist should have extensive knowledge of the application of analytical and physical chemistry to the development of pharmaceuticals.

The successful candidate will utilize their scientific skills to design, develop and execute experiments which will drive deeper understanding of BIND’s innovative formulations and processes. They will work hands on, with other members of the Analytical Development group, and with external resources to solve complex scientific problems in analytical chemistry, resulting in rigorous and reliable test procedures. The successful candidate will be action-oriented and possess excellent partnering and communications skills, and will thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Job Requirements:

· Ph.D. in Chemistry and at least 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, or a BS/MS with equivalent experience.

· Extensive, hands on experience in development and validation of analytical techniques, including separation science and materials characterization.

· Experience in characterization of polymeric and nanotechnological systems is ideal.

· Outstanding ability to work across functional boundaries, bringing innovative analytical solutions to bear on chemistry, formulation or process problems.

· Experience in managing CROs and other external resources to deliver high quality, timely results.

· Detail-oriented, with strong understanding of rigorous method development and validation principles.

· High-energy, with strong written and oral communications skills.
