In vitro biology of targeted nanoparticle-based therapeutic agents

BIND Biosciences, co-founded by Dr. Robert Langer of MIT and Dr. Omid Farokhzad of Harvard Medical School, is a biopharmaceutical company leveraging its proprietary Medicinal Nanoengineering™ platform to design, engineer and manufacture highly precise best-in-class targeted therapeutics for treating serious diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular and inflammatory diseases. We are looking for highly motivated people who thrive on being challenged and working in a highly collaborative environment to join the team and play a key role in conducting rigorous, cutting edge science.

We seek a motivated and team-oriented individual who will be a key contributor to the overall development and success of BIND’s biology programs.  This work will include the design and hands-on execution of key experiments for screening and selection of nanoparticle therapeutic candidates, specifically helping lead in vitro biology work and development; presentation of results in team discussions and written technical reports; in vitro cell assay development for binding, uptake, internalization, viability, and toxicity studies; and data analysis and interpretation.   As our R&D programs integrate polymer chemistry, particle delivery technology and a number of drug modalities across therapeutic areas, the candidate must work, teach and learn across multiple technical disciplines.

BS/MS/PhD in cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, pharmacology or related field with 3-6 years of industry experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry. Specific experience/expertise must include: development of mammalian cell culture capabilities; in vitro cell-based assay development, including cell binding and pharmacological assays, particularly in oncology and cardiovascular therapeutic areas; experience with nucleic acid therapeutics including RNAi. High energy, open minded, strong communicators with superior organizational skills and attention to detail who are looking for a collaborative, innovative and fun work environment.

BIND has a vibrant and engaging culture of innovation and teamwork and we are continuing to build a top-tier team of scientists and engineers to rapidly advance our R&D programs in a fast-paced, exciting and fun work environment.
